TECNO’s mid-range lineup boasts the most camera-focused phone, the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra, that brings a 50MP 3X telephoto lens to a segment where most rivals still rely on basic ultra-wide or macro cameras. In this TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra review, we dig into whether the triple 50MP-class setup, the 144Hz curved AMOLED display and the massive 6500mAh battery are enough for it to be a premium-focused mid-ranger.

The phone was launched globally at MWC 2026 and was available in Bangladesh at ৳52,650 for 12GB+256GB variant . The big highlight for TECNO is the DXOMARK camera score of 146, which the company claims is the best of any smartphone under $600 .

Corning Gorilla Glass 7i dual protects the front and back, and the colors available are Moonshadow Black, Nebula Titanium, and Cypress Green.

👀 Design: Impressive Display 144Hz Curved AMOLED

The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel has a 1.5K resolution of 1208×2644 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate . Peak brightness in HDR scenarios is 4500 nits, but real-world tests put high-brightness mode at around 1302 nits .

Scrolling and animations are noticeably smoother with a 144Hz refresh rate, and 2800Hz touch sampling improves responsiveness in games. The display has good color output, with 1.07 billion colors, and effective PWM dimming of 2304Hz for reduced eye strain at low brightness in independent testing.

This display spec for the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra is well ahead of the average mid-range device where 120Hz LCD or basic AMOLED panels are still common.

⚡ Performance

Dimensity 7400 Ultimate Is Up for Daily Life
The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. It is built on 4nm process and has octa-core configuration . Benchmark scores land around 799,352 on AnTuTu, putting it in solid mid-range territory .

In use, the chipset copes with social media, multitasking and video streaming with no problem. You can play games like Call of Duty Mobile and Mobile Legends just fine at reasonable settings, but you’ll have to make some compromises if you want to play something demanding like Genshin Impact. TECNO uses a 3,205mm² stainless-steel vapor chamber for thermal management, helping to keep performance up during long sessions.

In the Bangladeshi market, the phone comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and a simulated RAM expansion. That’s an impressive feat for a mid-range chip, with Android Central saying the phone does “exceptionally well” for everyday use.

📸 Camera

50MP 3X Telephoto Changes Everything
The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra experience is centered around camera performance. The rear triple setup consists of:

50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main sensor, 1/1.56-inch size, f/1.8 aperture, OIS

50MP 3X telephoto, f/2.4 aperture, 70mm equivalent focal length

8MP ultra wide with 112° field of view

The real hero is the dedicated 3X telephoto. It’s ideal for natural portrait compression, and allows you to shoot detailed subjects at a distance without resorting to digital cropping. The phone’s telephoto capabilities were confirmed to be strong by DXOMARK’s testing and helped it achieve a total camera score of 146.

The 50MP front camera with autofocus takes good selfies, and TECNO’s AI suite includes AI 60X SuperZoom, AI Auto Zoom, Best Moment 2.0, and AI LightMaster 2.0 for removing reflections and shadows.

Android Central said the regular camera experience is “surprisingly adequate.” Day photos captured good detail, while nite photos benefitted from good noise reduction .

🔋 6500mAh Battery

6500mAh Lasts and Lasts
The 6500mAh battery is among the biggest in this price segment. Reviewers said that in real-world testing, they averaged 6-8 hours of screen-on time, and were able to go to bed after a full day of use without needing to charge.

The TECNO battery is said to hold more than 80% of its capacity after 1,800 charge cycles, which it describes as five years of durability. 45W Super Charge is pretty fast for top-up , 50% in around 33 minutes , full charge in about 90 minutes .
